How very cool Erica is
Erica is a goddess. Not only is she all math-savvy and science-smart, but she's also artistic. She took this self portrait that I snapped:

I want to be Erica when I grow up. It only sucks that I'm older than she is. :(

It's just a Photoshop filter. Nothing impressive about that.
And a paintbrush is just a stick with some hair on it.
I think Erica's skill is what is awesome, and more importantly, her readiness to do nice things for me. Besides, I watched her do similar things to another photo of another friend of ours using Corel Painter, and it's not as simple as you make it sound. It's not a filter so much as a tool, and it has to be applied in an artistic way to get the effect you saw.
Lastly, please feel free to jump up my butt, anonymous poster.
I'm not saying it wasn't very nice of her. But comparing three mouse clicks with the art of painting is ridiculous. There's no skill in using a filter, and that she's using Corel to make it more difficult is just dumb when Photoshop does the exact same thing by itself. She could at least make it look different from the standard accepted filters.
If you could accept another opinion without getting snotty and uppity about it, I wouldn't bother posting anon.
No, if you had the balls to take ownership of your opinion in the face of the response it would inspire, you would not bother posting anon. Let's be real with ourselves, here.
